Who we are

You'll find us at craftmotive.space

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect personal data to help with a few things. We need to answer questions from builders and handle support requests. If you opt in, we'll let you know about new features and things happening in the community. Here's the legal side of it. We only store personal data when you explicitly consent to it. We also have some legitimate reasons we pursue. We want to tell builders about new features and answer questions about their creations.

Cookies

When you leave a comment on a build, you can choose to save your name, email and website in cookies so you don't have to type it all in again. Those stick around for a year. If you've got a builder account and you log in, we drop a temporary cookie to check if your browser can handle everything. It doesn't have any personal info in it and it vanishes the second you close your browser. Login cookies keep your session going and remember your settings. The login cookie lasts two days by default, but if you pick "Remember Me" it'll stay for two weeks instead. Preference cookies hang around for a year. When you log out, all the login cookies disappear. Creating a build sets a cookie that's only there for a day and doesn't store anything personal.

Embedded content from other websites

Your builds might have videos, images or other stuff embedded from elsewhere. When that happens, those external sites can collect data on their own and track what you do independently of what we see here. If you actually go to one of those third-party services, they've got their own privacy policies you should look at.

Analytics

We look at analytics to see how builders are using the platform. That data doesn't leave Craftmotive.

Who we share your data with

We don't hand over personal data to outside companies.

How long we retain your data

Build metadata and comments stay around forever so we can keep the creation history intact and know who made what. If you're a registered builder, you can look at, change or remove your account info anytime. Admins can handle this stuff too.

What rights you have over your data

You can ask for a copy of your personal data or ask us to delete it. Just keep in mind that some data we need to keep for legal reasons can't be removed.

Where we send your data

When you submit a build, we check it against spam detection to keep the community clean.
